A unique perspective on hearing loss
William
Lee Parker, PhD — founder, president and CEO of Parker
Hearing Institute — understands what it’s like to

hearing is fully intact, he was born to deaf parents in a
deaf community. In fact, Dr. Parker had learned to sign before
he ever learned to speak!

experience growing up has given him a lifelong interest in

drove him to get his PhD in audiology and eventually start
his own practice. It’s also why he co-founded the Palm
Springs Hearing Seminars — which offers the largest independent

HearNet Audiology Network and the Hearing Alliance of America.
But
his presence and influence in the hearing community doesn’t
end there. Dr. Parker is a popular lecturer at conferences
and meetings for hearing professionals, plus he’s presented
numerous seminars designed to educate the general public and
local hearing impaired communities on the latest advances
in hearing care. He has also published numerous articles and
pamphlets, taught graduate-level audiology courses, lectured
in community forums, invented hearing aid products, designed
hearing aid improvements, produced educational films and brochures,
and has consulted with television script writers and movie
producers on hearing loss. Dr. Parker even appeared as an
audiologist in the movie Johnny Belinda!
But,
more importantly, Dr. Parker has personally helped over 20,000
people regain much or all of their hearing, allowing them
to lead happier, more fulfilled lives. After all, that’s
what drove him to the field of audiology in the first place!
A family tradition of hearing

Today, Dr. Parker is joined by two of his four adult children,
Joshua Parker and Andrea Huttinger — exceptional audiologists
